ORGANOBENTONITES SYNTHESIS AND THEIR SORPTION CHARACTERISTICS RESEARCH
Abstract
Methods of obtaining organabentonites based on bentonite clays of Krantau deposit are described. The influence of clay modifiers structure on the technological and adsorption capacity of the obtained clays has been investigated. The synthesis efficiency was confirmed using complex analysis methods, including X-ray phase, thermogravimetric and electron-microscopic analysis methods. Analyzes were performed before and after the modification process.The bentonites had intercalated organic cations, as evidenced by the increase in basal distances. The organophilic bentonites character is also confirmed by an increase in the hydrophobic benzene adsorption.
