The people of Africa are skeptical of the net gains from the activities of globalization and afraid of losing their peculiar identity among the comity of independent nations of the world. The psychological and unresolved conflict between indigenous African cultures and the global culture is a problem to be solved. The sweeping effects resulting to monumental changes in socio-cultural and socio-economic relationships in the Africa are affirming that globalization is an important development theory in 21<sup>st</sup> century and should be under studied. The study aims to diagnose the African fear resulting from the actions of cultural homogenization and Americanization of world cultures as critical aspects of globalization. It also intends to move away from the usual norm of critiquing the negative effects of globalization on the socio-cultural and socio-economic space of Africa. The paper ‘s target is to proffer practical measures/strategies to advance the rich cultural heritage of the continent of Africa to the world.
