STUDY OF SECTOR WISE DEPLOYMENT OF BANKING CREDIT IN INDIA
Abstract
The Reserve Bank of India is the banking regulator and is responsible for directing banking
credit flow to the various sectors of the economy. The paper focuses on the study of sector wise
deployment of banking credit flows in India. It studies the change in the sector wise banking
credit over a period of one year. It also analyzes the trend of credit flow between two reference
periods of May 2019 and May 2020. The study is based on the RBI Bulletin of July 2020. The
trend analysis and ratio analysis have been used to analyze the data and for visualization of the
trend bar charts, pie charts, line charts have been used. Finally, the paper looks into the various
grey areas where efforts are required for the deployment of more banking credit.
