DR.ALI KHELDARYAB, ROMANTIC POET, ELEMENTS OF ROMANTICISM

Abstract

Romanticism has an intellectually importantince in poetry. This term come in the literature at the end of the 18^th century. In English literature, Coleridge, Word worth, Shelley, John Keats, and Byron are famous writers in this regard. In poetry, love for nature, philanthropy, mentioning of supernatural elements, music, innovation of words, and rebellion against tradition are the characteristics of Romanticism. The tradition of romantic poetry in Pashto has been going on for a long time. And the element of romance can be found in almost every poet of Pashto. Dr. Ali Khel Daryab is an acclaimed romantic poet of Pashto. In this article, the elements of romanticism in his poetry have been analyzed.
