Abstract

The article examines the cultural and cognitive aspects and the role of
archaeological sites in the development of modern tourism. The factors influencing the
organization of polyfunctional complexes as part of the tourist routes of Karakalpakstan have
been studied. New methods are proposed: stylistic solution of objects of the architectural
environment, improvement of the existing infrastructure and the creation of a "Tourist Oasis".
Examples of the use of objects and elements of archaeological heritage are given.
