Abstract

The digitization higher education has influenced in many universities to adopt the process of
online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. E-learning and other related tools and
applications of online learning have been used for continuity of education during the closure of
the educational institutions. The different factors are responsible for carrying out an efficient
mode of online learning during the pandemic. These factors have been proven to be quite
challenging while implementing the online mode of learning. The impact of COVID- 19 in
educational institutions has shifted the traditional mode of learning into the digital mode.
Hence, this study focuses on reviewing the challenges concerning the implementation of this
digitalization in the educational institutions during the pandemic of COVID-19. The study
follows a qualitative research approach based on secondary data collection. The secondary data
collection has involved the review of the existing literature concerning the impact of COVID-19
on the educational domain along with an assessment of challenges and scope of digitization in
mediating education during Covid 19 pandemic. The findings and discussion have been
analyzed by determining the existing literature and hence the conclusion is implemented as per
the analysis of electronic databases.
