Abstract

This study examines the effect of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on affective commitment and employee performance. Structural equation modelling was applied to analyze 195 employees in private university of Indonesia. The results revealed that emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence had a significant influence on affective commitment, and emotional intelligence and intelligence had a positive influence on employee performance. In contrast to expectations, affective commitment has no effect on employee performance.
