RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CULTURAL HERITAGES WITH CULTURAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This study presents the main ideas of sustainable cultural tourism development, a form of
tourism associated with work discover and explore the culture of each region. It implies taking
into account economic, environmental and socio-cultural aspects by tourism planning and
management. The paper presents the historical background of the idea of sustainability, the
factors that affect the sustainability of culture in tourism development. The author emphasizes
the negative effects of tourism on cultural preservation that can be prevented by applying the
principles of sustainable development; at the same time, propose solutions to balance economic
development and cultural preservation.
