“EMPLOYEE’S HAPPINESS” – PANACEA FOR SURVIVAL AND GROWTH IN MSMES

Abstract

Purpose: Work is one of important aspects of people’s lives. People perform their work in exchange for either monetary (e.g. salary and benefits) or non-monetary rewards (e.g. psychological fulfilment from work). In today’s changing world, the world of work has been changing rapidly. The purpose of this paper is to identify Employee Happiness with specific to selected chemical units of Bhavnagar District. Design/Methodology/Approach – This paper is based on questionnaire covering various parameters specific on Employee Happiness. The research questionnaire is based on likert’s five point scale. This cross-sectional study is conducted in Bhavnagar District. This paper offers an analysis of different parameters helps in identifying root analysis of Happiness for employees working in chemical units of Bhavnagar District. Findings – The main finding is that overall Happiness of Bhavnagar District was truly at Good level in reliability test (Cronbach's Alpha). The Value of Cronbach’s Alpha (0.946) for overall Employee Happiness prevailing in selected Chemical Units is at Good level of internal consistency prevailing in selected chemical units of Bhavnagar District, which indicates a good sign. The group average Mean of the items was found to be (57.71) with a standard deviation of (11.779). Practical implications – Based on these findings, the research results squabble for the importance of combining Happiness and well-being. Originality/value – This research paper gives a more complex understanding of Employee Happiness.
