Abstract

This paper aims to demonstrate how media is construing the ultimate judgment regarding every
aspect of society. It facilitates public opinion and eventually gains a lot of power in endorsing
typecasts. This paper highlights the perpetuating nature of it by trapping the public into believing
a world created of pigeon-holes and assumptions. The explicit and hidden images through media
are direct enforcement of gender norms. Several studies indicate the intertwining of media with
social issues like debates on Body Politics, acuities regarding ethnic minorities,violence
