Abstract

“Professional competencies” are behavioral to knowledge,skills,abilities andother characteristics to individual performs the task and accomplishes the achievement of the organization.Thisstudy aimed for developing professional academic competencies.Collections to involved synthesizing documentary, to interview and survey by questionnaires of 560 lectures inRajabhat University to the data. Factors to professional academic competenciesof 2 factors, 11 sub- factors, and 65 indicators. Causal model relationship of professional academic competencies was consistent  withempirical  data of  X2 =298.44, df=107, p=.00,GFI=.93,AGFI=.87, CFI=.98, NFI=.98, SRMR=.01., RMSEA=.06.Need assessment to develop the professional academic competencieswith the highestneed (PNI Modified) ofability to work with a focus on achievement, Knowledge and capability in research and development, and competence and technology skills, respectively.
