THE IMPACT OF STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP IN KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN A SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES IN THE STATE OF KUWAIT
Abstract
The present study aimed to explore the Impact of Strategic Leadership in Knowledge Sharing in A Small and Medium Enterprises in the State of Kuwait.
A descriptive analytical approach was adopted. Through adopting the descriptive approach, the researcher reviewed the relevant theoretical literature and previous studies that shed a light on the study’s variables. Through adopting the analytical approach, the researcher conducted a field investigation.
The study’s population consists from the owners of small and medium enterprises in the State of Kuwait. Based on the statistics issued by the Arab Monetary Fund, there are 33,000 small and medium enterprises in the State of Kuwait. The simple random sampling method was used for choosing a sample that consists from 384 individuals. Questionnaire forms were distributed to those individuals. However, 314 questionnaire forms were retrieved and considered valid for statistical analysis. The response rate is 81.77%.
Several results were concluded. For instance It was found that strategic leadership dimensions have a statistically significant impact on knowledge sharing in small and medium enterprises in the State of Kuwait.
Several recommendations were suggested by the researcher. For instance, The researcher recommends improving the capabilities of the owners of the small and medium enterprises in the State of Kuwait. That should be done in a manner that enables those owners to improve the performance of their enterprises. That can be done through providing those owners with training courses about strategic leadership and knowledge sharing
