SOME ASPECTS OF COMPUTER ORIENTATED LANGUAGE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT EXPERTISE

Abstract

The article deals with a very actual problem of Computer Orientated Language Learning Environment
(COLLE) expertise. The system of COLLE evaluation criteria is grounded anddeveloped. Among the criteria of
analysis are resourcing, effectiveness, security, intensity, content, social activity, width of coverage, availability,
flexibility and translatability, the indices of which are defined in the article. The levels of COLLE effectiveness
(low, medium, high) and the methodology (questionnaires, testing, questioning, interview, method of expert
evaluation, observation, method of peer review, examination of the degree of attendance) of COLLE expertise are
described in the paper.
