Abstract

The current investigation focused on analyzing the social media usage patterns of both instructors and students in Jordan.The researchers administrated survey to a random sample of n= 183 students and n= 24 instructors drawn from three majors, enrolled in the mass communication college at Yarmouk University. Results revealed that Facebook and WhatsApp were the most frequently used social media platforms by the students. Respondents also indicated their social media usage for education and also to avail information from online platforms. Instructors on the other hand, also revealed their dependency on social media to modify their students’ learning abilities. Thus the current investigation also recommends future studies oneducational sector employees to enhance their skills and improve their working skills.
