THE IMPACT OF MEDIA SUGGESTION ON THE EVENTS INTERPRETATIONS MULTIPLICITY AMONG UNIVERSITY YOUTH (A SURVEY STUDY OF PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES STUDENTS IN BAGHDAD)
Abstract
This study outlines the impact of media suggestion and hints on university youth in terms of multiple interpretations of the issues raised in the media and the other accompanying effects, the targeted sample surveyed is from private universities in Baghdad (Al-Farhidi University, Uruk University, Al-Bayan University) with its humanitarian and applied faculties that consisted of 170 students. To measure the impact, a special scale was used in accordance withits objectives and Likert formula in media, especially satellite channels, whether in words, hints, signs or pictures that have an impact on the multiplicity of interpretations of recipients to media messages and the accompanying confusion and poor confidence in information and its source, but it, by contrast, affects the public opinion, gives positive force and helps brainstorm interpretation.
