Abstract

Various aspects of the state of public health in connection with malignant neoplasms, as well as the issues of improving the system of providing cancer care to the population are the subject of many years of research by the authors.
Concern and increased attention to cancer are one of the features of modern healthcare.
Worldwide, there is an increase in the incidence of non-communicable chronic diseases, associated primarily with the growth of the socio-economic well-being of countries, increase in life expectancy, and preventive measures aimed at identifying cancer.
The decrease in the mortality rate is due, primarily, to improving the diagnosis of malignant tumors in the early stages and the effectiveness of the treatment results. At the same time, this indicator still does not reach the indicators of developed countries, since mortality in the advanced stages of cancer is practically not preventable and is still high.

Timely and early diagnosis of cancer can significantly improve treatment outcomes and increase the survival rate of patients. To further improve the prevention of cancer in the country, early diagnosis programs (screenings) were introduced, the availability of high-tech
diagnostic and treatment methods with scientifically-based effectiveness was improved, and a modern system of rehabilitation and palliative care for cancer patients was introduced.
